Gavin Gibbons

Gavin Gibbons is the co-founder of McGideon, where he leads growth and commercial success: making sure RADAR and the automation behind it solve real operational pain for construction and building services contractors, and win them real work.

He has spent 20 years in tech and automation. He has built and scaled multiple businesses, founded several AI and tech start-ups in London and Dubai (some successful, some not), and now works as an investor and advisor to construction and building services companies.

McGideon exists because of a pattern Gavin kept seeing in the sector: excellent contractors whose pipeline depends on luck and long-standing relationships, while the tenders, frameworks and subcontract packages they should be winning pass them by. RADAR watches the public tenders and frameworks, plus the private packages behind every contract award, and McGideon's automation engages the buyers, drafts the bids and chases the follow-ups. The result is more of the right work, at better margins, with less effort and less admin.

Alongside McGideon, Gavin is the founder of Exitable, which helps owners of established £5m to £75m businesses build companies that run without them, so they can scale, step back or sell, and the founder of Next Level Ventures, the group behind both businesses.

He writes a weekly newsletter for business owners across multiple sectors on building more profitable companies that run without their owners, creating and maximising shareholder value, and the exit routes that follow. He also publishes regularly on YouTube and LinkedIn.
